How does God let the nations know he exists? Ever think about that?
Paul tells us in Acts 14
“In the past, God let all the nations do what they wanted. Yet he did things to prove he is real: He shows kindness to you. He gives you rain from heaven and crops at the right times. He gives you food and fills your hearts with joy.”
Acts 14:17 (International Children’s Bible)
God showed his existence to the nations by giving rain and crops and filling hearts with joy.
Where does Joy come from? from God.
If God is so willing to give joy in the hearts of even those who don’t know him, how much more to those who love him!
Father, thank you for your witness of Joy. Open my understanding to how joyful you are. Thank you for sending your son, Jesus, to remove all barricades to your joy by paying for my sins and living in me by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Amen
A new thought on an old thought! God gives Joy! Joy is a gift from the Creator of all things! Therefore, God is a joyful God! God is happy! Joy is part of God’s character and is evidence of His personality! Now, I could focus on my own (lack of) joy during this two-year forced isolation virus. There is a little gap in living with my usual joy!
