Recognizing Value

Just look at it—we’re called children of God! That’s who we really are…when Christ is openly revealed, we’ll see him—and in seeing him, become like him. I learned something about recognizing value when I gave away company stock. I had received it as a youth because I was family and had no idea how much it was worth until I gave it away for free.

Afterwards, the realization of what I lost hit me but it was too late. Something similar can happen in a church or to those in a Christian home who grow up with eternal opportunity freely given by Jesus’ sacrifice.

There is a future for those who remain faithful to Christ. We need to keep that future in focus to stay pure and faithful.

Of Secondary Importance

I want nothing more from you than to enjoy your company. There will be time for you to labor in My vineyard but unless it’s done from love it won’t be sustainable.

I don’t need your acts of service (I, actually, have plenty who can serve).

I need, or rather, desire your heart.

Enjoy Me and seek to sit, like Mary, at My feet.

The service part comes and goes. It’s you I want.
